To clean oil-based paint from your paint brush, you can use mineral spirits or paint thinner. Both of these chemicals are effective at dissolving and removing oil-based paint from brushes. Here’s how to clean your brush:

  1. Fill a container with enough mineral spirits or paint thinner to cover the bristles of your brush.
  2. Swirl the brush in the container, making sure the solvent reaches all the way into the bristles.
  3. Use a wire brush or a paint brush comb to remove any remaining paint from the bristles.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until the brush is clean.
  5. Rinse the brush with warm water and a mild dish soap to remove any remaining solvent.
  6. Use a clean towel to wipe the brush dry and reshape the bristles.

Remember to dispose of any used mineral spirits or paint thinner according to local regulations.
